They have known each other for years, playing their own music together in various projects (e.g., WIDE OPEN/STÖTTER'S NEVERTHELESS), and now, in the intimate setting of a duo, they bring their mutual understanding of each other's music to the stage. Both are characterized by a striving for freedom within structure: breathing, searching, harmony, and moving forward. The result is a small ensemble that, through orchestral thinking, sounds like a large one. Their repertoire consists of compositions by both musicians, situated within the realm of melodic, atmospheric modern jazz.
